Greenhouse Peppers Project

The SAS Children’s Centre is a working farm. The animals and garden crops help provide food for the Centre, with the surplus sold to help support the program.

The latest project was to build a greenhouse to grow crops year-round. The first crop of red and green peppers was harvested in April and sold for 50,000 Kenyan Shillings (KES), an equivalent of about $500 USD.

The second crop is now coming up. It is hoped that this will be another way for the Centre to contribute to its upkeep.
