With some of the older children moving on to secondary school or university, we now have room for 6 little ones to join the SAS Children’s Centre. These are the first 4, with 2 more coming soon. Some of these children have been abandoned or abused. Some have lost one or both parents and their remaining family is unable to care for them.
The children who have joined us over the years have been referred by local hospitals, social service agencies, churches or by word of mouth. Every effort is made to ensure that any existing ties to the children’s families are maintained, and children spend holidays and school breaks with their families or extended family members as much as is safely possible.
The SAS Children’s Centre has built a well-deserved reputation as a nurturing environment for children in need.
